 Popular Comedian Charles ‘Marabha’ Mapalume Dies

Zimbabwe’s entertainment world is in mourning following the death of popular comedian Charles Mapalume, best known by his stage name, Marabha. News of his passing was confirmed by fellow entertainers on Saturday, 19 April.

Shugeta Confirms the Sad News

Well-known radio personality Tafadzwa “Shugeta” Ben took to Facebook to share the heartbreaking update. While he didn’t reveal the cause of death, Shugeta confirmed that Marabha died on the morning of 19 April at Sally Mugabe Central Hospital, formerly known as Harare Hospital.

In a heartfelt post, Shugeta expressed deep sorrow over the loss of his friend and fellow entertainer, writing:

“We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Brother and friend Charles Mapalume, who was also known as Marabha. He passed away this morning at Harare Hospital. Fly High, King.”

Content creator, Regina, who used to perform with Marabha, also confirmed the comedian’s death. She wrote:

“Wandirwadzisa umwe wangu wandisiira rondapamoyo may your soul rest in peace Marabha.”
